Construction Drawings
Once the schematic phase is complete, it’s time to move into Design Development and ultimately in Construction Documents. Construction documents are usually what people can identify when they talk about a project’s drawings. Most notably floor plans, exterior elevations, and building sections. But before those can be created, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Design Development is the design period that focuses on the details. Whether that is refining the buildings layout and flow, crafting a very specific built-in detail, or understanding how a complicated roof system is constructed, these are all items that are examined during this phase.
Construction drawings are visual exhibits that literally provide the blueprints for a project to be successful.
