Goodbye concrete bunker!

INTERIOR REMODEL

This 1950’s concrete bunker was a mix of a single story rambler and bungalow.  The interior was equally as confusing as there was no direct access to the backyard, the upstairs was a separate apartment, and the was no natural flow through the space.   The project scope completely flipped the functions of the home to allow the homeowner an open concept with direct views, access, and natural light in all rooms.

The main remodel replaced a closed off living room, bedroom and existing bath with an open kitchen and living space.  The construction process took some elbow grease as the walls and floors were all made of concrete.  With some unique design solutions, the final outcome of eat-in type island, roomy living room, ample cabinets and storage and all new appliances made this renovation one-of-a-kind.
